Time Capsule Opened for Centennial Event
Trinity Episcopal Church celebrated its centennial in a big way on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013. Our time capsule was removed from the cornerstone and was remarkable in two ways-the way it had been packed and how well-preserved it was after 100 years. There were many interesting artifacts including a 1792 Book of Common Prayer, a number of pictures and local newspaper ads, a list parishioners, and an article on the sinking of TITANIC including a picture of her in drydock while being built. The large congregation thoroughly enjoyed seeing these relics from 100 years ago and will be equally interested in what will be included in the next time capsule.
